Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process through which knowledge and skills gained by individuals as a result of life and work experiences, informal learning and formal study are assessed against nationally recognised industry qualifications. It is the starting point for the design of individual training plans and a key workforce development strategy.

RPL is recognised by employers and employees in the industry as it addresses and fulfils any skill gap that is identified.

Individual Training Plans include a combination of the following:
