Train Your Staff

In addition to the on-campus full-time training courses, Pegasus International UniCollege provides an excellent opportunity for employers to up-skill their existing workforces to meet changing industry and workplace demands.

Existing workers who have considerable industry experience, but who possesses minimal or no formal qualifications, stand to benefit greatly from their participation in this programme.

Companies will find that our training programmes are flexible, coupled with multiple entry points for learners and are developed to meet Industry’s specific requirements. This will increase retention of staff and attract experienced candidates. Evidence has shown that there is substantial benefit to employers with a highly-skilled and productive workforce.

Skills acquired during employees in-house training will be validated. Skills gap training will be provided with assessments tailored to the needs of individual Company and will include the following:

Training Needs Analyses

A training needs analysis involves a careful investigation of what training an enterprise need in order to meet the current and future business need. It involves: an evaluation of existing training programmes; the anticipation of future skill needs and gaps; the identification of the type, level and nature of training required; and an analysis of how this training can be provided in the most cost-efficient and effective manner.

Skills Audit

A skills audit involves identifying the skills and knowledge held by enterprise employees. It is conducted in order to identify the gaps, if they exist, between the knowledge and skills of employees and the current and future skills requirement of the enterprise. Once completed, the results of skills audits can be used to guide the design and development of enterprise-wide workforce development plans.

Customised Training Programmes

Upon identifying training needs after a skills audit, customised training programmes are designed to narrow skill gaps. These training programmes may focus on a single competency, or one or more skill sets (ie. Food and Beverage Service, Housekeeping, Customer Service, Supervision, Leadership, Marketing, Business Planning, Human Resource Management, Organisational Development and Financial Management).

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is the process through which the knowledge and skills gained by employees as the result of their life and work experiences, informal learning and formal study are assessed against formal qualifications. It is the starting point for the design of individual training plans and is a key workforce development strategy.
